Apex Legends Season 27

When Apex Legends’ 27th Season, Amped, launches, it will introduce a freshly updated Olympus, improvements for several of the free-to-play team shooter’s Legends, and a few new features that will make things more exciting. Even Ranked Play is getting some love.

Today, Respawn shared details on the upcoming update. According to the post, players will soon be able to explore what they are calling “a more competitive Olympus” featuring new POIs and a redesign intended to offer “better flow, dynamic positioning, and elevated gameplay”. Open space on the map has been reduced and certain areas have been reworked to make gameplay feel better.

In addition to the Olympus rework, Season 27 also introduces improvements for three of the game’s Legends: Valkyrie, Rampart, and Horizon. Valkyrie has a shiny new jetpack that will allow her to take to the air faster. Rampart’s walls now comew ith a roof. And Horizon’s new upgrades allow her to either float off her lift or slam to the ground. That should make for some interesting gameplay.

The update also introduces some new features. These include the “Double tap” Alternator Hop-Up, which offers players high-end close-range firepower. There’s also the Mantle Boost tool which offers players a burst while climbing things like walls. In Ranked Play, player can expect changes to loot quality in Drop Zones intended to make things more consistent. A full list of changes is available on the Apex Legends Steam Page.
