Arctic Theory Announces Name Of Upcoming Sandbox MMO ‘Pioneers Of New Dawn’, Closed Beta Info In Q4
The former CCP and EA veterans are making a sandbox MMO set n a persistent world.
Arctic Theory, the new development company founded by veterans from CCP games and EA, revealed the official name of their first project today, offering a few details on the premise of the game as well. Titled ‘Pioneers of New Dawn’, the project is a new sandbox MMO set in a persistent world – that just happens to be named New Dawn.
New Dawn experienced a global ecological disaster centuries ago and, finally having recovered from it, is now ready to be re-inhabited. The descendants of the planet’s former citizenry are returning as Pioneers, to explore the planet, uncover the mysteries of the past and rebuild society. They must do the last part in balance with the ever-changing environment.
Players take on the role of these Pioneers and will build outposts, trade networks, colonies, and more as they make their own mark on the game’s world.
More details on Pioneers of New Dawn will be released over time. In fact, players can expect information on the game’s upcoming closed beta sometime in Q4 2023, so keep an eye out for that.
