Guild Wars 2 Content Delay

Today, ArenaNet published a message for players on the Guild Wars 2 forums to announce the delay for Harvest Temple: Challenge Mode from June 7 to June 28. With this three-week setback, they plan to spend more time "testing and [polishing]" the content so that it lives up to its challenging claim.

The news came from Lead Systems Designer Cameron Rich for Guild Wars 2. Rich states that Harvest Temple: Challenge Mode is supposed to be "one of the most difficult and demanding experiences the game" offers, which explains why the team is delaying the content to really nail what it brings. The majority of fans on the forums reacted positively to the news since more time usually means a better overall experience.

Others are skeptical of the pushback and the Harvest Temple's challenging claim. One user mentioned that "all the other 3 CMs have been cleared within 5 hours," revealing that the series of content isn't all that difficult on launch. Another echoed that response by saying they hope "this CM [is] worthwhile." There's an underlying concern that this CM might be buffing up as something it isn't, but plenty of voices on the forum have a lot of faith in Cameron Rich leading the CM. But of course, we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out on June 28 and, hopefully, it doesn't get delayed again.

Is the upcoming Harvest Temple: Challenge Mode delay a positive or negative for Guild Wars 2? Let's chat about it below!
