Bloodhunt Update Is All About The Player Requests, Adding Duos And Fixing Kill Counts
“The Community Patch” adds new features asked for by the players.
Y’all have been asking for it, and here it is…today, Sharkmob released what they’re referring to as “The Community Patch” for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt. In this update, the dev team focused on player feedback, addressing everything from making and getting in and out of matches faster to adding a new mode.
To start with, the developer is offering players some free goodies as a bit of a “thank you” for supporting them during Early Access waiting for them to get up to speed on things. The goodies are obtainable in two ways, as daily login rewards and by trading in tokens obtained for completing challenges.
For those who’ve felt cheated by how kill credits work, there’s good news. Kill credit now goes to the player who downs an enemy, no matter what actually finishes them off. So, you won’t lose that credit to the red gas and if another player lands the final blow on someone after you get them down, they’ll get an assist.
A big addition in this update is the new mode: Duos. This addition is the result of a survey asking if they should be tried out temporarily and see how everyone likes it. Since players are interested, they decided to give it a go, replacing Trios with it for now. Trios will be back, however, and to make it easier, they’ve created a duos mode that supports 42 players – it being divisible by both 2 and 3 and all.
Of course, the update also contains a whole list of tweaks and fixes, all of which are detailed in the patch notes on the Bloodhunt site.
