If you want the Fortnite experience of building and shooting and blowing things up but without -- well, whatever it is that you don't like about Fortnite -- a new free-to-play shooter might be up your alley. Sector's Edge is from the two-person team at Vercidium, which uses a self-made engine and assets to provide frenzied battles in fully destructible environments.

Sector's Edge offers three modes and six maps, with a wide range of weapons guaranteed to cause maximum chaos. You can further customize your character with perks and other equipment to give you the edge in the game's 8v8 PvP battles.

Vercidium has more in store, including a 5CP mode, ranked matchmaking, and replays, which you can learn more about on the game's roadmap. More info can be found on the game's website and you can download it to play on its Steam page.
