Build Your Own Galactic Empire In This Week's Free EGS Game
This one's for the turn based strategy fans out there. This week, the Epic Games Store is offering players a chance to grab Stardock Entertainment's Galactic Civilizations III for free today. While a little over five-years-old, the base game still sells at around $40. So fans of the genre are looking at a pretty decent deal. Of course, there is a good bit of DLC that you'll have to buy if you want it all, ranging in price from $3 to $20.
Galactic Civilizations III offers plenty of features for fans of the genre. Not only does each game have a unique map, but players can play against anywhere from 16 to 100 other players. There's a huge technology tree as well as a detailed economy. Players can even customize factions and ships to give their civilization a look all its own. As is usually the case, the game is up for grabs until next Thursday. So go ahead and snag it while you can. (Don't worry too much about when you grab the DLC. It looks like it's just available for the regular price.)
