Bungie Celebrates Destiny's Sixth Birthday With Cake, Merch, And Beyond Light Previews
The Destiny franchise turns six years old today, and like a lot of six-year-olds, it has some trouble counting. The blog post announcing this milestone is titled "Almost Seven," but don't let questionable math dissuade you from enjoying some birthday cake.
No, really: cake. The blog posts starts off with a lengthy recipe for Destiny Birthday Cake, followed by mentions of various merchandise -- a poster, mug, T-shirt, and cookie cutter set. In terms of actual content, there doesn't seem to be an in-game celebrations, but you can still read about the three new Stasis subclasses coming in Destiny 2: Beyond Light, one each for the warlock, titan, and hunter.
The one bit of actual new game-related news in the post is that the last two expansions, Forsaken and Shadowkeep, are both coming to Xbox Game Pass on Sept. 22. So if you've yet to catch up on those storylines, you can do so before Beyond Light hits on Nov. 10, which is ... let's see, about 218 days, going by "Bungie math."
