Star Trek Online First Contact Day 2024

It’s that time of year again when the Federation celebrates the day humanity tested warp drive for the first time and met the Vulcans as a result. Yes. First Contact Day. This year, Star Trek Online players will be celebrating the event by building and launching their own Phoenix Rockets.

You might be thinking that can’t be the entire in-game event and, if you are, you’d be right because the Borg can’t go five minutes without trying to travel back to an important point in the Federation’s history and trying to stop any of it from happening. Honestly, that’s how you know someone can’t win a fight on their own when they have to travel back in time and attempt to make their present-day opponent weaker. It’s why the Borg will never win.

Of course, the Borg are traveling back to April 4, 2063, to try to stop the first contact from happening. That means players are going to have to as well. In this case, they’ll be teaming up with Seven-of-Nine to fix whatever it is the Borg broke in the timeline this time.

Another activity taking place during the MMORPG's First Contact Day event is the recreation of the Synth attack on Mars as the Synth Wave TFO.

Obviously, there will be rewards for taking part in these activities. Among them is the First Contact Day Badge Box featuring 17 different Comm Badges for players to choose from. Pick one and unlock it account-wide. Other rewards include a Photon Burst Rifle and a toy version of the Phoenix Rocket.
