Dead By Daylight Developer Behaviour Interactive Acquires Midwinter Entertainment
The deal is expected to close in June.
Here we go again. It’s time to play "who’s buying what?" Today, Canadian developer Behaviour Interactive revealed they are in the process of acquiring Midwinter Entertainment. In the press release, Behaviour discusses the benefits of picking up the Washington-based developer from Improbable. Once the acquisition is complete, Midwinter will add around 30 more developers to the Behaviour team. Current plans are to task these devs with creating original IPs.
The press release offers a few tidbits from members of both game studios – mostly just the normal quotes about why this is such a great move for both companies. They discuss their mutual values and success records. They also discuss a focus on the metaverse, because who isn’t focusing on the metaverse? It seems it’s all a match made in heaven.
Of course, this is all reliant upon approval. Expectations are that the deal will go through on June 2 of this year.
