Destiny 2 Solstice

Arms Week is now live in Destiny 2, as part of The Edge of Fate.

Running until August 5, this limited-time event focuses on weaponry, introducing a new Hand Cannon archetype, Phoneutria Fera, as well as returning fan-favorites and powerful new Volatile Mods. Players of the free-to-play shooter can take on daily and weekly challenges through the dedicated Arms Week hub in The Portal, earning Holofoil weapons, engrams, and other loot using Combat Telemetry. And Ada-1 offers focused engrams that can be decrypted for targeted rewards.

A new activity called The Coil has also been added to The Portal. Originally launched in Season of the Wish, The Coil combines intense combat with strategic modifiers and features multiple difficulty paths. Players who aim for a B+ grade or higher can unlock the best gear, though pushing the challenge too far can lead to encounters with immune enemies. The activity now includes Master and Grandmaster options accessible at lower levels.

Looking ahead, the Solstice event begins next week and runs for two weeks. This year’s version focuses on building and upgrading Solstice armor through the Solstice Forge, now enhanced by the new armor and stat system introduced with The Edge of Fate. In place of Bonfire Bash, Solstice introduces rotating Solar-inspired modifiers — such as Hot Potato, Fired Up, Class Healing, and Igniter — to Portal activities. And a new Solstice Scorched Crucible Playlist adds Scorch Cannons to standard PvP modes.

Rewards include a unique emblem, Ghost shell, and more Holofoil weapons. The revamped event hub allows players to directly purchase Tier 1–4 weapons and armor engrams based on Guardian Rank, as well as Glimmer and Enhancement Cores.

Lastly, Trials of Osiris returns this weekend, with Burnout as the featured map. Power Level disadvantages are disabled, and players can earn a new armor set and five powerful weapons, including the Aureus Neutralizer, the second Spread Shot Hand Cannon. There will be no featured weapon during the first six weekends, giving players a chance to earn the full Trials loot pool through consistent wins. Featured weapons return on September 9 with the Ash & Iron Major Update.
