DNF Duel Is Today's Free Epic Store Game, Which Coincides With The New Battle Mage DLC Character
No, the DLC is not included and must be purchased.
Now’s your chance to try out DNF Duel, which is currently free on the Epic Games Store until tomorrow, the 21st.
The game has introduced its latest DLC character, the "Battle Mage," as part of the ongoing Season Pass. She’s characterized by her quick-witted and fluid gameplay, and is the third DLC character in the lineup. Despite being beginner-friendly, the Battle Mage has high-level close-quarter combat skills and magical abilities. Her unique powers involve Chasers, arcane spheres with elemental properties that enhance specific skills for a duration when consumed. The character also transforms into an apostle, unlocking the devastating "Quasar Explosion" Awakening skill.
“We aimed for a delicate balance between user-friendly skills and the strategic potential of Chaser utilization,” said Kodani Ryosuke, the fighting game’s director. “We hope players enjoy battle with the Chaser as they embrace the mantle of Battle Mage.”
The DLC release includes a new stage, "Meister’s Laboratory," too (available for free). You can buy the Season Pass for $20, or individual DLC characters separately for $7. Steam users can crossplay with Epic Games Store users as well. The game is playable on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
