Gamigo’s Eden Reforestation Projects Plants 110,00 Trees Since September
All of the trees were planted with funds raised by players of gamigo’s games.
Once again, gamigo, in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects and with the help of players who like sweet in-game loot, have planted a lot of new trees. The company announced this week that their permanent fundraising initiative, in which players buy packs for their favorite gamigo game and the money goes to purchase a certain amount of trees, resulted in the planting of more than 110,000 trees between the end of September and December of last year. That’s more than 200,000 trees in all, including their previous efforts.
To fund the planting of these trees, players can purchase any number of bundles for their favorite gamigo game. The bundles range in price from $2 to $20 with each bundle funding the planting of one tree per dollar spent. As with most gaming bundles, the more expensive ones include the items in the less expensive packs as well as additional things.
The Eden Reforestation Projects count as only part of gamigo’s environmental efforts. The company also has other initiatives to help raise awareness for sustainability. These include “maintaining carbon neutrality for the whole group”.
