Fractured Online Is Headed To Steam's Early Access Next Month Complete With A New Playable Race
The game enters early access on the platform next month.
If you’re one of those people who prefers to have your games all on one platform, and that platform is Steam, then gamigo and Dynamight Studios are ready to add you to their list of Fractured Online players. The publisher announced today in a press release that it will be bringing the open-world MMORPG to Valve’s platform via Early Access on September 15. That’s still a bit away, but considering everything that’s dropping updates in the next week, it’s not a bad deal.
At the same time the game launches on Steam, the developers will also be introducing the first of the non-human playable races to the game. (There will eventually be three playable races in all.) The Wildfolk are Fractured Online’s more peaceful race. They are very nature focused and will do what they can to protect it using druid magic. They’re also the only race with sub-races – all with animal-like qualities. Those who wish to play the Wildfolk will begin playing on their home planet, Arboreus.
The new planet and race aren’t all that players have to look forward to, though. At the same time these are added and Steam Early Access launches, the developers will be implementing seasons. During a season, members of a guild can complete actions and receive points for their group. As they accumulate points, guilds will go up in rank on the leaderboard. Those at the top at the end of the season will receive prizes that offer bonuses.
