Genshin Impact‘s next event update is slated to arrive tomorrow — or very late tonight, depending on your perspective. When it does, it will bring the end of the Five Flushes picture taking event (for the most part) and usher in Liyue’s annual festival, the Lantern Rite. It will also introduce the Theater Mechanicus, the tower-defend-ish board game.
Both of these events officially kick off February 10 and run until February 28. The Lantern Rite requires players to have an adventure rank of at least 23. They’ll also need to have completed Chapter I: Act I “Of the Land Amidst Monoliths”, as well as Xiao’s story quests — which unlocks once “Of the Land Amidst Monoliths” is taken care of.
The event is made up of several smaller events, all of which begin tomorrow but have their own end dates. Details on what player can expect from these events can be found via the links above.
On an un-related, but kinda cool, note, while you’re waiting for the update to release, you may want to take a peek at this video. A few Genhin Impact fans decided to re-create Liyue Harbor as a scale model. According to Kotaku, the project took more than 1,000 hours to complete, and it looks pretty damned cool. Just a bit of a side note. If you’d like to eliminate the flying text, you’ll need to click on the little message bubble-looking icon (third from the left on the bottom of the video) so that it has the “No” circle with the slash through it on the bottom corner.
