Guild Wars 2 Devs To Showcase Profession Changes In February Stream And New WvW Updates Go Live Tomorrow
The stream will go over all profession details expected to be patched in on February 14th.
Skills and Balance Team Lead Cal Cohen and Associate Game Designer Roy Mark from ArenaNet will host a Guild Wars 2 dev stream to discuss the new profession changes coming on February 14th.
The stream will go live on February 3rd at noon Pacific Time and, as usual, the devs will post the full balance preview notes on the official forums following the end of the stream.
Before that happens, players interested in World vs. World content can expect new updates tomorrow. WvW Team Lead and Producer Cecil Armstrong and Senior Game Designer Floyd Grubb dropped a blog discussing the January 31st patch and the following months.
Tomorrow, players will see improved rewards via new weekly achievements and changes to encourage direct player vs. player conflict in fights over objectives. However, the devs were mindful not to take the fun out of objective defense. They will keep a close eye on how things progress and take note of player feedback for future adjustments.
Those weekly achievements will reward players for doing activities like taking down dolyaks or defeating enemy players. Completing them will give eight gold and up to 35 additional WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets. Each week, the achievements will reset Sunday at 11:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
Outside of adjustments to flame rams, ballistae, and warclaw for Siege, ArenaNet fixed the issue where players would get kicked off siege weapons when hit by specific crowd-control abilities. Later, they mention reducing the base maximum supply limit for keeps, Stonemist Castle, and limit increases from T1/T3 upgrades. The change intends to cut down on the time objective assaulters spend hitting supply reserves during wall and gate sieges.
