Guild Wars 2 Devs Will Kick Off A Stream Friday To Preview Upcoming Profession Balance Changes
Coming with the same update are improvements to WvW and PvP game modes.
On September 16 (Friday) at noon Pacific Time, ArenaNet will kick off a stream on the official Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel to preview October 4's profession balance update. After the stream, the full balance preview notes will be on the official forums.
From the dev team, the Skills and Balance Team Lead Cal Cohen and Associate Game Designer Roy Marks will walk players through the incoming changes in October. ArenaNet didn't reveal any specific details about these changes, though. From their past blog post following an all-out player backlash, we can assume that adjustments will span all game modes and continually evolve long-term. As a teaser, the devs posted a carefully cropped screenshot of a hotbar with abilities on their blog, giving a glimpse of one of the areas the stream will touch on.
The October 4 update will also debut improvements to combat balance in the WvW and PvP game modes. This follows another round of the WvW World Restructuring beta test in late August, seeking to clean up issues regarding matchmaking and technical issues. And just after October 4's patch, another big profession balance update will launch on November 29.
If you got time to watch the stream on Friday, tune in at noon Pacific Time on their Twitch channel.
