Guild Wars 2 Looks Back At 2023, Reveals 2024 Updates, Talks Next Expansions
The first will drop in February.
Before 2023 comes to an end, Guild Wars 2 Game Director Josh Davis wanted to drop a note for players. Yes, it’s your standard end-of-the-year MMORPG wrap-up – for the most part anyway, but it also offers players a look at what’s to come.
Some of the information about future content is a bit vague, as it’s stuff that the devs are currently working on. For instance, the game’s fifth expansion is in development and the devs are already plotting what comes later.
That said, there are a few things players can look forward to sooner. For one thing, two “major updates” for Secrets of the Obscure will drop during the first half of 2024, with the first one coming in February. This will bring new story content, the Temple of Febe Strike Mission challenge mode, new weapons, new legendary armor to unlock, and more. Before that, players will be able to take part in a beta event for WvW restructuring. That will take place from January 12 through February 2.
Aside from that, there’s not much else. However, the post does include a video of some Guild Wars 2 music.
