Not at first though, as including everyone is quite an extensive task.

Hi-Rez Studios aims to include all 130 Gods from the original Smite in Smite 2.

Currently in the pre-alpha stage, the upcoming MOBA has already undergone reworks for ten Gods — with plans to introduce 25 to 30 Gods in the alpha stage and eventually reaching a total of 50 for the version 1.0 release. The developers told PC Gamer they are mindful of the potential overwhelming nature of having too many Gods, with a focus on creating a diverse yet manageable roster to cater to both new players and long-time fans.

This decision to start with a lower number of Gods is driven by the desire to make the game more accessible, especially for those new to the genre. Hi-Rez Studios acknowledges that each character is someone's favorite and assure fans that they plan to grow the roster quickly to include everyone's beloved Gods.

The team says they are committed to making improvements based on player feedback and ensuring that the transition of characters from Smite 1 to Smite 2 is carefully considered on a case-by-case basis. Quality-of-life improvements and maintaining the essence of each God are key considerations in the overhaul process as well.
