Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Tournament

Genshin Impact players are getting a chance to take part in their first official competitive event. Well, it’s not competitive Genshin. We’re not even sure how that’d happen, but Genshin Impact’s in-universe card game, Genius Invokation TCG… Now, that’s doable.

Today, HoYoVerse announced the first ever official competitive Genius Invokation tournament for players, the Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup. This event will take place in the second half of 2023 and will offer players around the world a chance at their share of $270,000 USD.

The Prince Cup is broken into two parts. The first consists of six regional tournaments taking place between June and September. The second part is three cross-regional invitationals taking place in June, August, and December.

Interestingly, the regionals will include the top players from the tournament run earlier this year by the Genshin Impact Tavern community – the Cat’s Tail Gathering. These individuals will be joined by players from wildcard competitions to compete for the regional championship. Those who manage to reach the quarter-finals will compete in an on-site competition that will be broadcast on the official AstraCarnival Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok accounts.

Players interested in taking part in the tournament will need to register. The good news is that registration is open now on the event site.
