Jagex Shares Details On Runefest 2026, A Part Of The RuneScape IP’s 25th Anniversary Celebration
It will be the biggest RuneFest to date.

Today, Jagex hosted the Old School RuneScape Summer Campfire stream, sharing plans for the game throughout the rest of the year, including the Grandmaster quest dropping on June 30. We know, OSRS isn’t free-to-play. But the other games in the IP are. And since there was some talk about Runefest 2026 and the IP’s 25th anniversary, here we are.
As this is an anniversary celebration, Runefest is going to be bigger this year. There will be two permanent Grand Stages. Both will be live throughout the duration of the fest with panels of all types. New Skill Chips will be available during the fest. Officially, there will be eight, but there’s also a secret ninth one that players will have to figure out how to obtain.
A new questing feature is being added to the festivities as well. Participating in this will earn players quest points. These points go to a leaderboard, and successful players can earn prizes. Players can also look forward to new immersive zones, as well as some familiar ones.
Of course, there will be all the fan favorites. This includes the goodie bag filled with exclusive items, an expanded LAN area, the campfire zone, and more. If you’ve yet to get your tickets, you can purchase them from the Runefest site.
