Kakao Announces Shiny New MMORPG Ares: Rise Of Guardians
With futuristic cycles and mech suits, at least the trailer looks cool.
If ArcheAge and Elyon aren't doing it for you -- and by most accounts, they aren't -- would you care to try Kakao Games' next MMORPG? It's going to be called Ares: Rise of Guardians, and it's being co-developed by Korean developer SecondDive, which MMOCulture said in 2020 was "developing an open world action RPG for the mobile platform."
Now MMOCulture has found the trailer for Ares, which has a sci-fi theme, complete with speedy, high-tech cycles and mech suits. The trailer is just 30 seconds of shiny CG, and there's no indication what platform(s) the game will eventually ship on. It's possible that it's that mobile game the studio has been working on back in 2020 -- but we can always hope for more, can't we?
