Legendary Relics Are Coming To Guild Wars 2 With The Secrets Of The Obscure Expansion
They're way better than the regular ones.
Guild Wars 2 players can anticipate the arrival of legendary relics in the Secrets of the Obscure expansion.
These relics are a special category of equipment that can be equipped across all characters on an account simultaneously. This allows players to freely switch between relic effects. To address the transition, the developers over at ArenaNet are compensating players who have previously crafted legendary runes by providing them with a legendary relic for free when the relics become available.
Also, unlike other legendary equipment components that automatically update with new attribute combinations, legendary relics will require players to unlock new relic effects for each expansion to use them with their legendary relic. This decision is driven by the desire to encourage players to engage with new content and experience its combat offerings actively.
