Lineage 2 Aden Orc Vanguard

NCSoft's fast-leveling Lineage II: Aden still hopping along, six months after its launch on American shores, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. A new class was added to the game yesterday, the Vanguard, which is exclusive to Orc males and wears heavy armor and wields a spear while riding a mount into battle. Vanguards have an exclusive mechanic, Beast Points, which can be used to enter Burning Beast, which provides a number of combat effects.

This update includes a class change system, whereby players can change the class of their characters using in-game currency, without losing progress. Eight new locations have also been added, along with a trading post to let players register items purchased with L2 Coin across servers and balance changes to the Archer, Wizard, Summoner, and Death Knight classes.

Other versions of Lineage II also got some sprucing up with this update. Basic L2's hunting zones and dungeons have been "revamped to improve player progression," and there's also the Storm of Terror, which offers items that can enhance R-Grade armor.

L2 Classic added Victory Coins, which are used for "special collection effects," and can be acquired via daily hunting missions or purchased with Adena. The Enchant and Challenge Point systems have also received some welcome UI changes, as they now show success rates, and players will receive special Challenge Points when their enchantments fail, increasing their chance of future success or preventing item destruction.
