Magic Duels Adding Aether Revolt Expansion Jan. 18
Another expansion set is on the way for Magic Duels, Wizards of the Coast's free-to-play adaptation of Magic: The Gathering.
Aether Revolt will hit live Magic Duels servers on Wednesday, Jan. 18, adding 126 new cards, including "destructive gremlins, massive airships, and legendary artifacts." The expansion will also add new story and skill quests, as well as new customizable items.
The release of Aether Revolt in Magic Duels nicely overlaps with the corresponding release of the physical set, a 184-card set which is seeing pre-release tournaments this weekend. It's neat to see Duels getting sets at the same time as the physical releases, even if they are short by about a third of the set.
