MapleStory's Neo Update Lands June 9, But The New Job Comes Later
Oh, would you look at that...another game is dropping a shiny new update this Wednesday. On June 9, Nexon is dropping MapleStory's Neo update. This new update introduces Burning World and includes a level cap increase, new adventures, and a broody new job. Although the job, "Kain, the Darkness Chaser", is arriving later on in the month on June 23.
So, what can players expect to see on Wednesday? Well, the Tera Burning and Burning World events both return, providing players with those XP boosts and bonus levels. The Neo Castle Events also drop, offering players a chance to explore a new area that blends Maple and Grandis.
New content-wise, players will be able to continue the story of the City of the Gods, Cernium. The barriers between worlds has continued to erode and the city is under siege. It's up to the players to stop things from getting worse.
The update also improves leveling by reworking death penalties and reducing the XP needed to reach level 250. It increases the level cap to 300, as well.
As mentioned, the new job won't be arriving right away but instead will drop on June 23. In fact, Neo update content will continue to drop into July, with Neo: Light's Wrath arriving July 21. This will include a new boss, the Hotel Arcus area, another round of Tera Burning, and more.
