Mortal Online 2 has one more beta patch out before its full launch, and it's calling this one "massive." Is it really? Or is that just relexive dialing up of the hype-o-tron to generate excitement? Let's take a look!

The accompanying video lists as major topics at its start: house decorations, player journal, and new fauna and bosses. There are definitely some fancy decorations on display in the video, so you can invite all your pals over to enjoy your virtual feast. New monsters appear to include giant rat-men and a sasquatch-looking "troll variant," and the journal "updates with information about things you encounter in the world."

What else is there? How about a Dominate skill, river fishing, new voice chat settings, and nation tattoos for character creation? You want more? Sure! Upgraded servers! Torches no longer work in water! Better security in cities! Updated fish stats! FISH STATS!

If that kind of thing turns you on, seek professional help. Then, check out the long list of bulleted changes on the Mortal Online 2 website. And beware of fish with calculators adjusting their stats.
