As Queue Times Extend And Brimstone Sands Approaches, New World Is Adding New Servers
More room is needed.
The population is growing in New World, and Amazon expects it to get larger with the release of the Brimstone Sands update. Because of this, the company is adding new servers for Central EU, US-East, and South American players. The decision follows a weekend filled with extended login queues and new purchases. Between that and the expectation of returning players, the company is taking steps to ensure new traffic won’t cause more congestion.
These are fresh servers, meaning there’s currently no territory ownership. Players can choose to either transfer an existing character or create a completely new one. They’ll be open by the end of the day – 5 pm for the US East server. Each region will receive only one new server, so Central Europe players, plan to move to Fae, South America, you’re getting Atlantis, and US East is getting Eden. Ponder the naming choices as you will.
