Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Headstart Launch

You may have been waiting for it, you KNOW we’ve been waiting for it, and, finally, it’s here. Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.0 expansion, Endwalker, kicked off headstart early, super early, this morning. Well, super early for those of us in the West anyway.

Of course, as always with things like this, just because it’s live that doesn’t mean you’ll be getting in immediately. As noted by the XIV team earlier, they went into this expecting significant queues, moreso than usual, due to the increased player base and the global hardware shortages. This may mean you need to be patient. You can take the time to read through the patch notes or, if you’re also a WoW player, maybe consider dropping into the new raid on the PTR while you wait.

There’s also one other thing of note: emails have begun going out to everyone who pre-ordered Endwalker from the Square Enix store. If you haven’t received it, you’ll want to check your spam. Effectively, it’s just to let players know that they’ll have access to the full expansion key soon and will need to put it into their accounts on the Mog Station between December 7th and December 10th. To obtain the key, you will need to log into your Square Enix store account.
