Onigiri, the free to play action MMORPG from Cyberstep, has already made the leap to the XBox One and will come out on the PS4 tomorrow, October 6th. If you missed the game's launch on the PC you can download the game on the official site (linked below.)

Onigiri is based on older Japanese fables and "thrusts its players into mystical Japan, a land filled with mythical creatures of Japanese legend. Starting as a lone Oni, players fight against the malevolent influence of the Kamikui as their miasma spreads over the land. 8 NPCS, each with their own distinct personality and skills, ally themselves with the player to help build a legend, and quell the evil that has arisen. As you grow stronger together, so do the bonds binding you to each other."

If you've previously downloaded the Japanese version of the console game, you will need to reinstall the US version of the game to play these newly launched versions, one cannot be updated into the other.

Check out the official Onigiri site for all the info!

Having played it on PC I can say it really isn't that good. At all. One glaring flaw is that cyberstep insists on having a cash-shop-credit-only trade system. Meaning you need the cash credit to actually buy anything from player-run shops..in-game currency can't be used for that. So you're forced to grind and hope you get the drops you need or pay real money to buy it from other players.

This is worse than even PWE's zen exchange; at least you can earn astral diamonds there. Here you're boned. Charge up that credit card!

Not that you'd catch me on Neverwinter cause that game has its own gigantic list of flaws..but god, I never thought the economy in an MMO could get worse than Neverwinter. Onigiri proved me wrong.

Hmm I wasn't aware of this I think I'll give it a download on PS4 and see how it is, if the launch is in Europe as well as the U.S tomorrow.
