Post-apocalyptic Car Battler KEO Preps For Early Access In December
Team-based title offers six cars and 24 weapons for your RC buggy of death.
Post-apocalyptic car battles are a common theme in video games, and there's a new one coming soon from developer Redcatpig Studio and publisher Digital Matters. KEO is "a team-based online multiplayer vehicle combat game" that looks to offer loadout options for weaponized remote-controlled buggies that race around a Mad Max-style wasteland and blow the bejeezus out of each other.
KEO offers 24 weapons for its six different vehicle types, which you can take into battle in team deathmatch, domination, and racing game modes. KEO also has a backstory, which includes nuclear annihilation in 2054, leading to people living underground for a decade until they discovered remote-controlled vehicles they could use to gather resources. Of course, people started fighting over those resources and, well, you know the rest.
KEO just wrapped up its latest closed beta this past weekend, with early access scheduled to begin on December 9 and a full launch in early 2022. You can learn more about it via its website and KEO Steam page.
