In a game development timeline posted on the official Survarium site, details surrounding the game’s plans for 2013 emerged including a fairly extensive breakdown of both the upcoming Alpha and Beta.

It appears as though Alpha testing will begin sometime in Q2 of this year with players being invited to help test some of the early modes made available. Players will be able to expect a working PvP mode, four game maps, two factions, and in-game system of tasks. The main focus of the alpha testing will be on stability with many planned features still missing at this point in development.

Moving along, the timeline details the appearance of individual features all building towards the official beta in Q4 of 2013. It’s at this point the developers plan on opening the game to a larger number of players with the beta most likely being open to everyone. The timeline is fairly detailed and I encourage everyone interested in Survarium to check it out as it provides a decent idea of what players can expect to be able to do ingame.

Survarium is being developed by the same team responsible for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 up until its cancellation. It’s no wonder then that both series share similar themes and features. Survarium is most likely S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 re-branded and expanded upon as an MMO.

  1. ok this looks good i saw screenshots read some stuff from their website and i can say i am impressed(for now)i just hope they won’t hurry up to release it and take their time as said above i am kinda tired of typical shooters i just hope i will be able to run this game don’t want it to be like it was for me with tera wait for the game some months then try it realize i love it but cant play it cause of my graphic card or anythign else than doesn’t allow me to play to smoothly

    • That they do, and honestly I don’t particularly like STALKER Online. The game feels clunky, animation wise, quests are blah, and the whole controls and aiming is just clunky too. I hope this game doesn’t follow in the steps of STALKER Online.

  2. Oh I saw a video about this some time ago, it really remembers me of Stalker, what makes me really look forward for this.

  3. Now this is something I’m interested in ! I like how upfront they have been with the audience, just thrown everything out there. Hopefully the development team replicate the behavior of Warframe devs !

  4. Been following their progress for a few months now. Really excited about this game. Even if we are starting to see more and more freeroam fps/tps games there are still not enough of them imo(i’m so bored of room-based shooters) and Survarium looks really nice. Of course i have only seen concept art, screenshots and the story elements they released, but if the gameplay is gonna be good, i really think this game has a good chance to do some ownage in the market. I really liked their idea with the anomalies or whatever they are named. That sounds like it could give a good twist to the game. I hope i will get my hands soon on this one 😀
