Saber Interactive Fixes Annoying Cancel Animation Exploit With 1.0.5 Update For Evil Dead: The Game
Cheaters gonna cheat, but they got them this time.
Evil Dead: The Game isn't even a month old and some players are using exploits to get a leg up on the masses. Thankfully, Saber Interactive fixed one of the biggest offenders, a method that allowed players to cancel their animations and still complete the action while cleaning up other areas needing attention in the patch.
Without a doubt, being able to cancel animations and still be able to complete actions was a frustrating experience for many. The exploit reared its head worst during PvP encounters, making it where one player who did the exploit had an advantage over them. But with the 1.0.5 patch, players can relax and not have to worry about dealing with this particular exploit.
Coming with the big fix is plenty of quality-of-life improvements such as server stability and the reveal of an "anti-cheat update" that will come in the following update. Saber also fixed the find a way out of the pit objective in Mission 5, which crashed players after closing the in-game pause menu. Survivors like Cheryl also got a bit of balancing when it comes to their healing attributes, and an issue where Survivors dealt 1M damage to Demon and deadites was resolved.
