Say Goodbye To CrossfireX, It’s Added Itself To The List Of Games Shutting Down
The closure was announced just in time for the game’s one year anniversary.
In what should be a celebration of CrossfireX’s first-ever anniversary, developer Stove announced that the game will be closing. We’re not talking about maintenance mode here. The game is being shuttered completely.
Stove announced the closure in a blog post this morning, noting that all sales in the Xbox Store are being halted immediately. They’ve also put an immediate stop to adding new content and will be issuing refunds to players who made purchases within the last two weeks, provided they meet the requirements and submit a refund request.
As for the game itself, players can continue to play for a bit longer. It won’t be shutting down until May 18, so if this is your game of choice, you’ll want to get your time in now.
