Season Of The Wish, The Last Season Before Destiny 2's Final Shape Expansion, Launches Today
Delays suck, sure, but new content kicking off is always fun.
Yesterday was a bit of a bad news day for Destiny 2 fans as Bungie confirmed the long-rumored delayed of the shooter's expansion, The Final Shape. The delay means that the new season, Season of the Wish, will be a bit extended come next year.
Today is more of a "good news" day though as Season of the Wish kicks off. This season sees the continuation of this year's story as Guardians and Queen Mara Sov scramble to bargain with Riven, the wish dragon.
The update includes new story missions, the new Riven's Lair activity, a new dungeon, the return of The Citadel map in the Crucible, and (eventually) the long-awaited Fireteam Finder feature.
The Fireteam Finder will start a beta on November 30th and the results of those tests (plans here if you're curious) will determine when the feature launches fully into the game.
Since the season will be longer than normal, you can check out our article posted yesterday to learn more about how Bungie plans to "fill the void" left by the delayed expansion.
