Skull And Bones Pre-Orders Have Suddenly Been Auto-Refunded On The Playstation Store
While pre-orders can no longer be made, the game can still be added to a user's wishlist.
Multiple users have taken to Reddit and Twitter to report that their pre-orders for Skull and Bones have been refunded on Sony’s platform. Ubisoft’s anticipated pirate-themed game was originally slated to release on March 9, 2023, but had received its 6th delay along with a handful of other Ubisoft titles earlier this month.
While those who pre-ordered the game were refunded the proper funds, these refunds came without warning or an email informing the buyer of the change. As mentioned above, some users went online to get the answers they needed, one person on Twitter wondered if Skull and Bones was delayed indefinitely and thus the refund had been made.
Still, these refunds are no reason to abandon ship just yet, as the refund was most likely made because the game no longer had a defined release date, and not because the project has been canceled. Despite Ubisoft's rocky start to 2023 and Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot constantly putting his foot in his mouth, Skull and Bones will still most likely release sometime this year, even if there are still a couple more delays to endure.
