TeamLFG Joins PlayStation Family, New Multiplayer Team-Based Action Game Announced
(In case you live under a rock, LFG = "Looking For Group")
teamLFG has joined the PlayStation Studios family.
Yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment Studio Business Group CEO Hermen Hulst announced the addition of teamLFG to the Sony family. Originally hatched at Bungie, teamLFG is composed of developers who worked on Destiny, Halo, League of Legends, Fortnite, and Roblox. They’re headquartered in Bellevue, WA, and are working on a new project.
(We’re not sure if this game will be free-to-play, but hopefully!)
teamLFG describes their mission as creating social, action-driven multiplayer games where players can find friendship, community, and unforgettable shared experiences. The first title is a team-based action game that mixes influences from fighting games, platformers, MOBAs, life sims, and "frog-type" games, set in a comedic, mythic science-fantasy world. The studio emphasizes a commitment to player-driven development through early access playtesting and ongoing live service support.
