The Omega Protocol Arrives In Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 6.31 Update
The testing continues.
After a brief period of downtime, Square Enix dropped the latest patch in Final Fantasy XIV today. Patch 6.31 is a smaller one consisting mostly of small additions like achievements and titles as well as fixes here and there. The only true bit of content added this time – unless you count the currently unnamed items – is the new Ultimate duty, The Omega Protocol.
As with previous Ultimates, this one ponders what would happen if certain things were done differently – and then tortures eight players for 120 minutes at a time to get the answer to that question. Okay, really they’re just there to collect a title and shiny weapons. Said weapons can already be previewed in the game at the totem exchange in Radz-at-Han. Of course, that means the World First races are back on – for those of you who enjoy watching them.
