Zenless Zone Zero 2-2

This morning, a new Special Program dropped for HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero. The stream detailed new content coming to the game in Version 2.2, “Do Not Go Gentle Into that Good Night,” as well as several quality-of-life changes.

Players of the free-to-play action RPG will remember that in the last update, we finally met the other members of Obol Squad as they helped us rescue one of our friends. In this update, we’ll be spending more time with them – specifically the duo Orphie and Magus, as well as Seed as we work to deal with the threat from the Exaltists.

These members of Obol Squad are also this update’s S-Rank offerings. Orphie and Magus come as a pair. It’s only to be expected when one half of the team is attached to the other like a tail. Seed will bring her mech friend along. Players can also expect a character story for Seed, so they can figure out exactly what is going on with that girl. Of course, there are several events as well. One even offers a special Rank-A Bangboo – Excaliboo – as the reward.

In addition to the update, the special program also announced a collaboration with Razer featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, with four items: keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, and chair. For some reason, they missed out on doing a headset with Miyabi’s ears.

Speaking of collaboration events, HoYoverse also revealed a collab with car manufacturer Aston Martin. This event focuses on Victoria Housekeeping – specifically Lycaon and Rina. This is a social media event that offers players real-world prizes like a model Aston Martin.

As for quality-of-life changes, there are several little UI tweaks that will make things easier for players. The devs are fixing the issue where the red exclamation point shows up even after you've completed all of the temple upgrades. They're also expanding the display shelves to hold 20 items instead of just eight. Hopefully, the same will be done for the photo wall at some point. Beyond that, it will now be easier to find NPCs for the hangout events, as they will be shown on maps even when you're in a different place.
