FINALLY! This Isn't A Drill: Upcoming Vampire Survival Game Rising V Set For Early Access on May 17
Survive, conquer, and blood-suck your way to the top.
Today, Swedish developer Stunlock Studios announced that V Rising, their upcoming fantasy vampire survival game, begins its Steam Early Access on May 17 after the current closed beta. The gothic world of Vardoran is sure to delight interested fans this Spring, with players encountering intense combat situations with mythical creatures and the light-wielding Church of Luminance.
In V Rising, you're a newly awakened vampire in a world conquered by humans, and your objective is to become the next Dracula, basically. Feeding on blood comes with the territory of becoming a vampire, of course, and by doing so, you gain new powers, hide from the scorching sun, and engage in real-time PvE and PvP.
When you're not feasting, raise your castle and invite friends to join your explorations across a vast dark fantasy world. Maybe pillage a village or two, skirmish with bandits, and disturb the lairs of supernatural beasties in your spare time. Also, you can attack other players' castles or become a cunning master of diplomacy to obtain blood and power and betray those relationships for your gain. This might be an RPers paradise if played right.
While waiting for May 17 to roll around, there is still a chance to sign up for the ongoing closed beta today. Don't miss this chance if you'd like to contribute to the game's progression into full release.
