Warframe Dev Stream 160

Today, Digital Extremes held its 160th Warframe dev stream. The primary focus – as in they spent the most time talking about it (about an hour out of the hour and a half stream) – this time is the Angels of Zariman preview. But, before they got to that, they decided to cover the next update arriving on March 16 as well as the 9th-anniversary content coming March 28.

The next update will add more Nightwave content while also making some quality of life changes. These include augment updates that will give a little love to underused augments. As for the 9th anniversary, a free Dex Wisp skin will be made available for everyone who logs in during the anniversary event. That event kicks off on March 28. At the same time, players can expect the game’s next Prime Warframe, Garuda Prime. One of the cosmetic items she will come with is a set of blood wings.

As noted, the bulk of the stream focuses on Angels of Zariman, coming in April. This is the game’s next big content update and picks up where The New War left off. It will introduce a quest that will provide players with access to Zariman. It will also add a social hub to procedural levels for the first time. In the stream, they offer players a look at one of the new areas, but intentionally leave it empty in order to not spoil anything for players. Those interested can watch the full walkthrough in the video below.

Another new thing coming in Angels of Zariman is a new type of skins. They’re still being worked on, so the one demoed in the stream may not be exactly what players see when they launch. They will, however, be the first line of cosmetics, known as Void Shell skins, that will allow players to change materials. Materials may be earned or bought.

Also covered in the video are various reworks currently in the works. One included is the Focus rework – all of which is covered in this handy forum post and more detailed than anything we could give you here. And, of course, if you’d like to watch the stream it’s available below.
