World Of Warships Launches Temporal Rift Event And Rolls Out Black Friday Content
New sci-fi game modes, Black-edition ships, and French alternate destroyers.

Wargaming has announced major updates for World of Warships. A limited-time Temporal Rift event is available for players of the free-to-play shooter until December 11. The event introduces two new battle types, Shattered Time and Rift Watch, each featuring nine-player teams fighting waves of AI opponents on large maps. Players will use a set of rental ships equipped with upgradable technology, respawn mechanics, Heavy Explosive shells, and missiles.
Also, Shattered Time tasks players with capturing fortified bases, while Rift Watch requires teams to defend their base against attackers. The modes will run consecutively for two weeks each before rotating together in a future update.
For Black Friday, there will be a two-track Event Pass, new missions, returning ships, and several new Black-edition vessels: the Tier X American cruiser Puerto Rico B and battleship Rhode Island B, Tier IX Soviet destroyer Neustrashimy B, Tier IX Pan-European battleship Karl XIV Johan B, and Tier VIII German cruiser Schill B. The Event Pass is available until November 27 and includes access to up to two commanders, 18 containers, and three premium containers.
Additional ongoing content includes continued Dockyard construction of Lüshun B, the Liberty Harbor chain awarding the Tier VIII cruiser Bridgeport, and daily rewards tied to the game’s 10th Anniversary Grand Voyage event.
In World of Warships: Legends, there will be black variants of Sims, Alabama, München, Graf Zeppelin, and Brisbane through Black Friday 2025 crates, available via missions, a campaign, Brawl rewards, and in-game store bundles. A new line of French alternate destroyers enters Early Access too, featuring incendiary torpedoes that increase speed and fire-starting chance over distance. These ships can be unlocked through Early Access crates and come with personal missions available until January 19 that award doubloons.
Legends also introduces a four-week Phantom of Sherwood campaign with 80 milestones and rewards including the Tier VII British cruiser Nottingham. And, players can earn parts during the second phase of the “Road to New Year” marathon to obtain the Tier VI Pan-European battleship Lugdunum with a unique winter skin, available starting December 1 with the release of the Christmas update.
