Wuthering Wave’s Latest Adventure Continues The Teasing Of Lahai-Roi
It really does like this little side trip is going to help prepare us for the next destination.

We’ve heard it mentioned in Wuthering Waves’ story a few times now. Lahai-Roi. Galbrena told us it was a place with advanced technology, including cassette tapes that can preserve frequencies. The Fractidus’ Grand Architect tells Scar and Christoforo that it’s time they return their attention to the place following the events in Rinascita. And now, it’s popping up again in the action RPG’s Version 2.8 story “To the City Set in Amber”.
Yes, the main 2.0 storyline has wrapped up, and the Version 2.8 update that dropped today has more clues about this Lahai-Roi. We can probably expect the same from Version 2.8 when it drops in a month and a half or so.
I’m not going to spoil the story for you. (I’m only halfway through myself, anyway.) But, I can tell you that you’ll at least run into more tech associated with the place. The update takes players into a Sonoro Sphere that has been stuck repeating the same day for decades. As we get trapped there, we find a new ally, a young resonator named Chisa who has been trapped there for a bit, and an adorable capybara that knows the city better than anyone else. The mission is simple enough. Figure out what’s going on and find a way out.
Of course, not all of the update is serious. There are several events that take place in the Sonoro Sphere, including a detective event and one where players rebuild a cafe. There’s also the standard photo collection event. And, because we can’t leave Lahai-Roi alone, players will also be able to collect items from the place that somehow ended up in the Sonoro Sphere in another event.
Today’s update also includes several quality-of-life changes. These include the ability to absorb all echoes in one click, improved character upgrade functions, and the ability to mute the game when it’s in the background on PC. Visual updates have been made as well.
