Gigantic is Motiga’s first foray into the battle-arena genre, pitting teams of players against each other while providing some intriguing twists to the standard formula. At various times during the contest, each team’s guardian — a five-story-tall behemoth — will activate and rampage across the battlefield, unleashing the potential to devastate the opposing team and take down their guardian.

Gigantic has a little of everything: MOBA-style gameplay with in-game leveling, capture points, and strategic advances, first-person shooter controls for ranged characters, and giant boss battles against the enemy guardians that resemble PvE encounters.

The characters themselves represent a diverse mix of personalities and play styles, so everyone should be able to find something they like. During matches, characters advance their abilities along set ability trees, allowing players to further customize their play styles and match their character’s strength to their skill.

  1. I have been playing for quite some time (Current level is 36 with a total of 107 hours of playtime). The game is quite good and I never really got salty for getting killed because it’s about skill, not how OP or broken some character is. So you win if you are actually better than the enemy team. Let me tell you how the game is about.

    The game currently has 3 maps, on each you have “summoning spots” that you can summon critters/creatures. These things have quite some variety. These spots are also good strategical points and on some maps there are “shared” spots, which means whoever holds that extra part/parts are in advantage. The creatures summoned can attack, heal or reveal enemies (on minimap). Now comes the good part! The creatures generate energy over time. Energy, when it reaches 100 points, means that your “Gigantic” aka Base moves to the other base and opens a Wound, which enables you to damage the enemy’s base. Gigantics have 3 bars of HP and the last bar won’t deplete even if it has 1 HP by the other enemy Gigantic, The other two bars can be finished off by the initial strike so you don’t have to attack every time the energy reaches 100. The target is to kill off the Gigantic of the opposing team and leaves to space for a tied outcome.

    Character variety is good yet lacks a bit, Shields (basically extensions to HP) in general take too little damage for now but still is not very hard to overcome when you are accurate or strategic enough (and not all heros have shields or shield generating skills).

  2. The game is very much still in its developing phase. It has quite a bit of potential, the action is faced paced, and cooperative. The melee – ranged based combat is also pretty balanced. If you’re looking to get the game its only available in the Windows/Xbox store for download. So you should have windows 8/10 for PC, or an Xbox available if you want to play it.

  3. Gigantic is pretty under the rug and under rated. The game is amazing and needs some recognition. Give it a look. they are testing on the weekends and there may still be beta keys floating around out there if you ask around.
