Azur Promilia is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer open world gacha game from Manjuu. It’s billed as a "creature companionship fantasy world RPG.” Azur Promilia transports players to a vibrant world full of magic, diverse civilizations, and mystical beings called Kibo.

Players will form bonds with Kibo, who aid in combat, exploration, and resource gathering. Some Kibo can even be used as mounts, helping players traverse the world’s varied landscapes. The game also features a cast of characters such as Terara, a wolf girl from Charlulu Village.

Azur Promilia is set to launch on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. We don’t have a release date yet. Pre-registration is already open on the official website.

Why am I bringing this up though? Don’t you hate gacha games, Matt? Isn’t it true you’ve never even played Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves or Honkai: Star Rail or Zenless Zone Zero because you write them off completely from the get-go?

Yes. All of that is true. But Azur Promilia has one thing none of these titles have. And that’s creature collecting, or monster taming. Whatever you call the genre, I love it. The game is like Genshin Impact meets Palworld.

So, maybe I can deal with the gacha mechanics, especially if it means getting to go on adventures with Cabbird, Umi, Snow Wolf, Bloomy, and Dizzroom. Not Lepidelic, however; that thing looks way to human-like.
