Adventure Calls In Today's Final Fantasy XIV Update, 6.1 And A New MSQ Await
Pick up your new outfit from Tataru, grab some friends, and heed the call.
Happy patch day, Warriors of Lig...er...Adventurers! Today's the day. Patch 6.1 has arrived in Final Fantasy XIV and now we all get to find out what life is like after taking on and conquering the biggest threats in the universe. (We assume.) Update your game, go visit Aunt Tataru, and find out where you're headed next.
With the release of today's patch, players have access to the new MSQ, a new dungeon, the new Alliance Raid, and a whole lot more. Of course, we’ve covered a lot of this before over the past few weeks – what with not one Live Letter but two of them, and the recent patch notes. By now, you should know this is the update that adds the Duty Support System to A Realm Reborn, offering players who prefer a solo experience the opportunity to go about business on their own. It also makes changes to Prae and Cape Westwind in order to make them work with this new solo system.
For the PvPers among us, Crystalline Conflict is here, along with its first official season. That means players can start collecting rewards, provided they rank high enough throughout the season. If you're someone who doesn't enjoy the chaos of Frontline but would like in on some PvP action, it might be worth a try. Crystalline Conflict consists of simple 5v5 matches on various maps. The PvP update also introduces new PvP actions and the Series Malmstone reward system. The latter allows players to earn different rewards for participating.
Of course, the new housing in Ishgard is open. If you want to do the lottery to try for a house, the option is there. If you want a sure thing, the apartments are open for purchase as well.
RP junkies, your time is now – adventurer plates and portraits are available in the game. Keep in mind they're in beta. The Unending Codex is available as well. And, if you visit an inn right now, it'll let you know that the ability to try on clothes from the store via dreams can be accessed too.
So get out there! Go looking for treasure. Uncover the mysteries of the Twelve. Spend time with your Scion friends. Do it all without the threat of impending doom.
On an additional note, don’t forget that the Hatching-tide event begins tomorrow. Be sure to head to Gridania and knock that out to get your minion, emote, and housing items.
