Arknights: Endfield Next Update Will Improve The Factory System
“Backup Power” will help with the factory blackouts.

On June 5, Gryphline will drop the next update for Arknights: Endfield. Titled ‘Sketches of Lost Heirlooms’, the update will pick up where the story last left off after the crisis in Wuling had been solved. As a result of the recent activities, a place long thought lost has become accessible, and Endmin and his companions will travel there to see what secrets it holds.
During this update, two new characters will become playable. The first is, at this point, a well-known friend, the captain of the Wuling Watch, Mi Fu. She’ll be available when the update launches. The second is a new character, Camille. He is a Keeper for Seš'qa who investigates internal criminal cases. Both characters will be accompanied by their own story quests.
There’s apparently also good news for veteran Arknights players. The customizable hardcore challenge mode, Contingency Contract, is making its way into the factory-focused action RPG. Players have control over the difficulty and will activate specific “Test Criterion” and “Key Criteria” modifiers that will affect how the content is played. That said, the content is intended for the more hardcore players, so, players will need to be mindful of their team composition.
Finally, the devs announced some QoL improvements that should help optimize factories. First, “Backup Power” is being introduced. This will help prevent factory blackouts. Although I wouldn’t count on it completely. The update will also introduce an automatic feature that will deal with blockages for different recipes. Players can also look forward to Bulk Artificing for gear, the ability to dismantle weapons in batches, and more. The UI is being updated as well.
