Dawn is here, and it’s new.

Battlefield 2042's Season 5: New Dawn is now live on all platforms, bringing players to an abandoned industrial facility in Czechia and featuring the new Battlefield 4-inspired map called Reclaimed. The shooter's new map includes a derailed train Crash Site for vehicle combat and a dense forest area known as the Landing Zone for close-quarters combat. Additionally, players can explore the Abandoned Turbine and Military Warehouse.

Season 5 introduces new weapons too, including the XCE Bar bolt action rifle with expanded attachment options, the GEW-46 with short burst fire, and the powerful BFP.50 hand cannon.

As for new gadgets, there’s the Spring Grenade, Anti-Tank Grenade, and Mini Grenade. All of the additional content is available through the Free tier of the Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass, with new cosmetics obtainable through the Premium one.

The new season introduces quality-of-life improvements as well such as the Squad Management System, vehicle loadout rework, reworked Vault Weapons, and new Thermal Tech and Heavy Anti-Air weapon stations. Also, later on, players can expect the reworked launch map, Hourglass, featuring a new route under the highway. The map will reduce the distance between objectives, improving cover, sightlines, and combat.
