British Aircraft Carriers Arrive In World Of Warships

Aircraft carriers in World of Warships got the once-over in an update late last month, and now the Japanese and American carriers have some company on the high seas. A trio of British carriers have arrived in Update 0.8.1, with more to come next month.

The tier IV Hermes, tier VI Furious, and tier VIII Implacable can all be acquired in game by completing the "Fly! Strike! Win!" in-game event. The carriers' planes have high HP and impressive armament but are slower than their American and Japanese counterparts. A full release of the British carrier line will come in the March update.

Update 0.8.1 makes a few other changes to the game, including tweaks to the functionality of Search Radar works, the user interface, and flooding damage. As an added bonus, you can log in every day between Feb. 28 and March 14 to receive a free Air Supply containers, which contain CDs of the band's greatest hits from the '70s and '80s -- no, wait, they contain Naval Aviation collection items, camos, signal flags, resources, and combat missions to earn additional ships. Well, that's boring.
