CCP Games Teased An FPS And Mobile Game In The EVE Universe At Fanfest 2022
While not officially announced, more information is coming for both games!
At the recent EVE Keynote at Fanfest 2022, CCP Games teased its upcoming projects, one being a first-person shooter and the other a 4X mobile strategy game within the EVE Online universe. Information is sparse outside of concept art from the event, but CCP Games is "now ramping up and powering forward with the [projects]."
Both games won't be headed by the same studio, though. CCP London is working on the "unannounced online tactical FPS game," determined to be set in "New Eden." The focus for the title is making an "innovative multiplayer shooter with atmospheric visuals," and CCP London is hoping to reveal the game when it's ready for fans. Based on the news, it's safe to say it's still in early development, and much of that is the same for their mobile project by CCP Shanghai.
However, in the case of the F2P 4X strategy game, it's codenamed "Project M5." Players will apparently "work as a team to battle opponents for interstellar supremacy." It'll adopt many of the key components of EVE Online, "such as teamwork, fighting, territory control, politics," and other qualities. CCP Shanghai is looking to conduct "player tests this year but will not be launching in 2022."
Do you think these projects could help new fans get into the EVE Online universe? Let us know in the comments!

Just what wrong with these game devs they seem to think having studios splattered all over place that they may achieve something. There is nothing to achieve here but get on with a NEW game.
