Celebrate 20 Years Of MapleStory By Introducing The Martial Artist Mo Xuan
The celebration includes a week and a half of events in the new Victoria Cup Main Stadium Map.
One of the cutest F2P MMORPGs out there is turning 20, and today Nexon kicked off a 10-day celebration of the milestone. The latest update is now live in MapleStory, bringing with it a new character, the martial artist Mo Xuan, and a new event hub.
Mo Xuan expands on the Pirate job class and boasts an agile combat style. He’s armed with two weapons: Martial Brace and Brace Brand, and uses traditional martial arts and spiritual energy to execute his moves, which allow for crowd control and heavy damage.
As for the event hub, the Victoria Cup Main Stadium Map features dynamic day-night cycles and offers players the opportunity to take on the Victoria Cup Sports Day Mission in order to earn special rewards. The Sports Day Mission includes several activities such as Victoria Soccer – a group minigame – and the Balloon Pop Challenge. That one seems fairly self-explanatory. Other activities include monster hunting and a boat racing event. A full list of events is available in the patch notes on the MapleStory site.
